It's been a busy few weeks for me.    Some nice stuff coming in, here is a selection of some of my more recent finds.....more to come...

Misc radio tubes, some of which are NOS.  Found a ton of avon stuff including an Alice in Wonderland shampoo bottle, hamburger shaped lip gloss and wonder woman mirror (passed on many more).  Hot wheel red line NIB from "Hoarder" Mikes house (oh and nude drawing book is also from his house).   Need hand painted sign, The Blaster wrestling card.   NIP "Psychedelic" number 2, Sipersteins Paints Patch, a couple packs of NOS caps for cap guns.   Last but not least Spot A  Car Auto Bingo game....try playing that now when you have to spot, Desoto, Willys and Hudsons.....

Those that know me, know I collect paint.  Found this at my "hoarder" buddy mikes house wrapped in a paper bag.  Great graphics and only .99¢ (at the time).   This one is heading to the paint museum at my wifes store.....Gotta love NOS...

 Sales have been pretty slow past couple of weeks.  Mothers day and some unexpected travels did not help.  Luckily this weekend was not so bad.   Lots of smalls....

Found a nice Panasonic Boom Box, Harley Davidson 2 Cycle Motor Oil Can, some Snap on Stickers (including one that my father has had in his garage for ages, and now I have an unused one)  A neat Lincoln Hood Ornament dealer award.   Also some key chains, pens, and concert memrobilia.  Oh and one can of Glidden custom spray paint from 1960s....gotta love the freebies...

Here is a close up of the Antrax/MTV pass.   A Pipeline Night club from newark NJ flyer, some oil can advertising pens, and a few auto key chains.  Mercedes, Buick (from local dealerhip) valiant and a saab key chain.  

Meet Mike...

This is a guy I have been helping out lately.  He is the owner of a house I thougth was being cleared out by the town.  I dumpster dived it for a few days, only to find out they cleared it when he was away in the hospital.   Lots of great items, and 2 houses packed with stuff.  I feel for him as he realizes the mess he has created all these years, but is not physically capable to clear it all.   He has played semi-pro ball, served our country, was a union worker and is a musician....expect to hear more stories from my travels with him....this was picture was taken as we cleared his backyard of scrap a day before the town came and cleared it all for him.  Next project is to work on clearing his house....

Tin sign patchwork.

So a couple of weeks ago I met up with a gentleman who had replied to one of my craigslist want ads.  I went to meet up with him at a closed up hardware store to pick up some old paint cans.   Store was located in middle of a busy city, but hidden behind a "riot" gate down an alley.   Though I did get some nice paint cans, the real "gems"  awaited me when the gate was opened.   I immediatley noticed the reverse side of some embossed 7up soda signs.....

After making a deal for the paint cans I asked him about the signs.   He said I could have one and proceded to try and pry one off with a piece of angle iron.  Seeing he was gonna do more damge to them, I asked if I could meet him again in a week or so and get the signs.   So this weekend arrives and I go there, hammer and pry bars in hand.   In total I removed about 20 nicely weathered coke, 7up and pepsi signs.   2 Had to be left behind because a door frame was built over them.   Here is the score and some of the examples of what I found.  No estate sales this weekend, but this surely made up for it...

Some of these signs will be up for sale/trade.  I will be keeping a few, and I know a couple will end up being gifts.   My father already got his hands on one of the coke signs.  

Week in finds....

With the holiday weekend, I had a week off of diggin.  This is some of last weeks finds, enjoy.

Buddy of mine has turned me onto Blow Mold Lawn Ornaments, here is the first pair I picked up this season.

If you are a record collector then you know how good these are.  Tucker storage mates, sold at local stores like Caldors.  Currently they are reproducing these, I think at the container store.  I am looking for these crates in bright colors like purple, green and pinks.

Glass Pizza Hut Pitcher, advertises coca cola on the reverse, goes great in the kitchen.

....and of course spray paint.  Few more cans to add to the collection.
